Putin: Macroeconomic basis to become development driver
MOSCOW, Dec 26 (PRIME) – The macroeconomic figures reached in the past few years will become a solid foundation for Russia’s future development, President Vladimir Putin told the government on Tuesday.
“Russia’s economy is now generally less vulnerable to external shocks and influences,” he said and added that the government has managed to make the economy less dependent on oil prices.
The president also said that the government has solved all economic problems of the past years.
“The (last five years) were difficult for both the country and those people whose ability was to provide at their own levels an uninterrupted economic development and dealing with difficulties of the global and domestic economies,” he said.
“The Russian Federation’s government has done everything possible and even more. In fact, you have settled all the issues, which the country’s economy encountered.”
